NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING

State Independent Living Council

Juneau, Alaska

February 6-8, 2001

The State Independent Living Council will hold its quarterly meeting in Juneau, Alaska, February 6-8, 2001.

On February 6, the meeting will be held at the Department of Education, State Board Room located on the first floor at 801 West 10^th Street from 10:00am–5:30pm. Public testimony will be heard from 4:30-5:30pm. On February 7, the meeting will run from 9:00am-4:00pm. On February 8, the meeting will run from 8:30am-12:00pm.

The Alaska Statewide Independent Living Council (SILC) is committed to promoting a philosophy of consumer control, peer support, self-help, self-determination, equal access, and individual and systems advocacy, in order to maximize and support full inclusion and integration of individuals with disabilities into the mainstream of American society.
