The Alaska Division of Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities has $300,000 in One Time Mini-Grants from the Alaska Mental Health Trust Authority. The maximum award is limited to $2,000 per applicant. Mini-Grants are designed to deliver client centered services to promote recovery and stability. The scope of eligible expenses include basic medical, dental and eye care, as well as assistance with basic living needs not covered under current grants, such as transportation and clothing. The Alaska Department of Health and Social Services is accepting proposals for capital grants for 2002 and 2003 for its Essential Program Equipment Program. The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) is accepting proposals for its Recovery Community Support Program (RCSP) . The program is designed to assist people in recovery, their family members, and other allies in the public dialogue about addiction, treatment, and recovery, and to build their capacity to identify, develop, and support treatment and recovery policies, systems, and services. Track I is soliciting applications for new recovery community organizing initiatives, and Track II is designed to enable existing organizations that have demonstrated their capacity to expand or intensify their current program, or to replicate their model in another setting. The Ford Foundation is accepting nominations for the Leadership for a Changing World award. The award recognizes 20 outstanding community leaders, and provides $100,000 to advance each winner s work and another $30,000 for supporting activities.
