The Robert Wood Johnson
Foundation is accepting proposals for its Active-Living
Research Grant Program. Grants of up
to $150,000 over two years or less are available for research that identifies
environmental factors and policies that influence physical activity,
specifically in understudied populations, such as children and adolescents,
low-income and ethnic-minority groups, older adults, physically challenged
individuals, and residents of rural areas.

VSA Arts and Volkswagen of
America is accepting entries from promising artists with disabilities who are
age 16 to 25. This years theme is
driving force and entries should reflect the artists conception of what

The JEHT Foundation
provides grants to organizations that focus on human rights, social justice and
community building. Within these areas,
they are interested in activities that provide effective practices that inform
policy choices, public education and advocacy, effective use of media, research
with a direct policy application, and community organizing and
development. The Foundation will make a
combination of multi-year and one-time grants.
They provide general operating support, project support, capacity

Other Teams is adapted specifically to nonprofit groups and is
less formal that the original Roberts Rules of Order. Topics discussed in the book are designing an

The beneficiaries of the
The Alaska Mental Health
Trust Authority's Small Projects Funding program is designed to create new services of direct benefit to Trust
beneficiaries. These services are not
normally funded by another part of government. They can be
innovative, new program
ideas, or substantially improve and supplement existing activities. They can also significantly increase the
quality of ongoing projects. Each small
project is limited to a maximum of $10,000. The intent is to spend
half of the Small Projects
Fund ($250,000 yearly) on high quality rural projects.
