The State Office of
Fetal Alcohol Syndrome is
soliciting letters of interest and proposals for the FASD (Fetal Alcohol
Spectrum Disorders) Training Certification Mini-Grant program. The goal of the program is to provide small
training grants to those agencies that have Certified FAS 101 Trainers. The purpose of these funds is for training
associated costs such as materials, resources, presentation equipment, supplies
and staff time. The maximum award for
each applicant is $5,000. The deadline

The Center for
Substance Abuse Treatment is
accepting applications for its Residential Treatment of Pregnant and
Postpartum Women program. The goal
of the program is to expand the availability of comprehensive, high quality
residential treatment services for pregnant and postpartum women who suffer
from alcohol and other drug use problems, as well as impacted infants and
children. Approximately $3 million is
available for between 6 and 9 awards, ranging from $350,000 to $500,000 in

The Center for Mental
Health Services is accepting
applications for its Cooperative Agreements for the Comprehensive Community
Mental Health Services Program for Children and their Families. The program is designed to provide
funding to organizations that develop community service systems and provide
services for the targeted population.
This program is limited to public entities and tribal
organizations. Approximately $5 million
is available. The deadline is August 5

The American Dental
Association Foundation’s Samuel Harris Fund for Children’s Dental Health is accepting applications from nonprofit
organizations that seek to improve the dental health of economically
disadvantaged children. Grants of up to
$5,000 will be awarded for community-education programs designed to improve
children’s oral health. The deadline is

Valeria Langeloth Foundation is
accepting letters of intent to organizations that promote and support effective
and innovative practices and policies related to recovery from accidents,
illness, or other traumas. The
foundation focuses on programs that encourage an understanding of the physical,
emotional, and social value of convalescence in health care, especially in
underserved populations. The deadline is

The Tides Foundation is accepting letters of intent for Rapid
Response Grants from the Fund for Drug Policy Reform. These grants support efforts to change
punitive and other drug policies at the local, state, and national levels

combined assets of more than $16.4 billion.

The Alaska Mental Health Trust Authority's Small Projects Funding program is
designed to create new services of direct benefit to Trust beneficiaries. These services are not normally funded by
another part of government. They can be
innovative, new program ideas, or substantially
improve and supplement existing activities.
They can also significantly increase the quality of ongoing
projects. Each small project is limited
to a maximum of $10,000. The intent is to spend
half of the Small Projects Fund ($250,000
yearly) on good rural projects.
