The Future of Philanthropy: Economics, Ethics, and
Management is a collection of brief essays that covers ethical
and management concerns facing grantmakers and nonprofit organizations. The book discusses how nonprofit groups are
affected by the economy and government policies. It also includes data about the nonprofit
sector, such as statistics on giving by individuals, foundation assets, and
charity expenses. It argues that society
would be better served if inefficiently run charities were to fail or merge
because of market pressures, rather than be sustained by philanthropic dollars. The cost is $55.00. For more information, call 877-762-2974 or
visit www.wiley.com.
