The State Division of Behavioral Health is soliciting proposals for its Consolidated Peer and Family Support Services Program.  The services sought are for an education and leadership conference for consumers and families; a statewide support network for infrastructure and capacity building; and other consumer supported projects.  The deadline is September 12.  For more information, contact Laura Sanbei at 907-465-4978 or visit www.hss.state.ak.us.

The Center for Mental Health Services is requesting applications for cooperative agreements for the Comprehensive Community Mental Health Services Program for Children and Families.  The goal of the program is to provide mental health services for children and adolescents with serious emotional disturbance.  Services are also available for their families.  Approximately $5 million is available.  He deadline is October 15.  For more information, contact Rolando Santiago at 301-443-1333 or visit www.samhsa.gov.

 

The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation is seeking letters of intent to submit nominations for its Community Health Leadership Program.  The program honors 10 people annually for their efforts to create or improve health care programs that serve communities with ignored or unmet needs.  Each leader receives a $15,000 personal stipend and $105,000 over three years for program support.  The deadline is September 22.  For more information, contact Edward Chu at 617-426-9772 or visit www.communityhealthleaders.org.

The Alaska Mental Health Trust Authority's Small Projects Funding program is designed to create new services of direct benefit to Trust beneficiaries.  These services are not normally funded by another part of government. They can be

innovative, new program ideas, or substantially improve and supplement existing activities.  They can also significantly increase the quality of ongoing projects.  Each small project is limited to a maximum of $10,000. The intent is to spend

half of the Small Projects Fund ($250,000 yearly) on good rural projects.
