Mental Health Stakeholders:

The Alaska Mental Health Board will meet October 29-31, 2003 at the Aspen Hotel in Fairbanks.  Please see the draft meeting agenda for details (also online at www.amhb.org).  Meeting highlights will include:

¨      The AMHB Executive Committee will meet with the Advisory Board on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Executive Committee at a working lunch on October 29.

¨      Tours of Fairbanks community mental health programs the afternoon of October 30.

¨      A consumer forum co-hosted by Fairbanks Community Mental Health Center and NAMI-Fairbanks the evening of October 30.

¨      The morning of October 30, the Board will engage in an advocacy training session.

¨      The Board will conduct a retreat to assess its mission, goals, and activities on October 31.

¨      Public comment sessions take place at 1:00 p.m., October 29 and 3:30 p.m., October 30.

The Board encourages and appreciates your interest in Alaska’s mental health system and your involvement during this time of transition.
