Mental Health Stakeholders:

The Alaska Mental Health Board will meet February 25-27, 2004 at the Green House in Juneau. Please see the draft meeting agenda for details (also online at www.amhb.org). Meeting highlights will include:

¨ A joint February 26 work session with the Advisory Board on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse (ABADA) on the integrated behavioral health plan.

¨ Tours of Juneau community mental health programs the afternoon of February 25.

¨ A consumer forum the evening of February 26.

¨ The afternoon of February 25 and the morning of February 26, the Board will engage in joint legislative advocacy with ABADA.

¨ Public comment sessions take place at 3:30 p.m., February 26 and 1:15 p.m., February 27.

This meeting marks the continued maturing of the AMHB and ABADA collaboration. As a result, the details of this agenda may be “tweaked” somewhat as the meeting nears. We ask for your understanding and flexibility concerning such changes.

The Board encourages and appreciates your interest in behavioral health care in Alaska and your involvement during this time of transition. We invite you to attend all or part of the AMHB meeting and related activities.
