Mental Health Stakeholders:

The Alaska Mental Health Board will meet January 18-20, 2002 at the Westmark Hotel in Fairbanks. A draft meeting agenda is attached for your information (the agenda may also be found online at www.amhb.org). Please note the following meeting highlights:

¨ The Board will tour local mental health organizations on Friday afternoon, January 18.

¨ The AMHB will hold a board training session that will last all morning Sunday, January 20.

¨ In departure from the usual committee meeting schedule, two committees, the Consumer Affairs Committee and the Children’s Subcommittee, are scheduled to meet concurrently at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 19.

¨ The Mental Health Association in Alaska plans to hold its annual Awards Celebration in conjunction with the AMHB meeting (details available later).

¨ Public Comment will take place at 1:15 p.m. on Friday, January 18 and 3:45 p.m. on Saturday, January 19.

The Board welcomes and appreciates your interest and involvement in mental health issues. We hope you will be able to attend all or part of the AMHB meeting and related activities.
