Dear Mental Health Stakeholders,

The Alaska Mental Health Board (AMHB) will meet on March 16-18, 2000 in Juneau, at the Alaska Office Building, on 4^th and Main Streets (Room 123). An agenda is attached for your information. Please note the following meeting highlights:

Ø Community Mental Health/API 2000: A special presentation/discussion on the Community Mental Health API 2000 Project will take place on Thursday, March 16 at 1:30 p.m.

Ø DHSS Children’s Services: The Department of Health and Social Services will give a presentation on children’s services initiatives which are being planned and/or implemented by the department. This will occur within the Children’s Subcommittee meeting on Friday, March 17 at 11:30 (working lunch).

Ø Supported Housing: A presentation/discussion regarding the proposed supported housing pilot project to divert persons with co-occurring mental illness and substance abuse disorders from API and DOC will occur on Saturday, March 18 at 12:00 Noon (working lunch).
